Directions: China is a country with a population of more than 1.3 billion people. With that many people in one country, discipline is a major societal focus, and this carries over into parenting. The most common parenting style in China is referred to as authoritarian parenting, which is characterized by children who are submissive to their parents without question and trust their parents to lead them in the right direction, and emphasizes high standards and a tendency to control kids.
